More about this course

In this class, you will learn all about articles.

Articles are the words that are used before nouns and we will look at three different sorts of articles, namely:

  • the definite article
  • the indefinite articles
  • the zero article

As usual, there is a class project for you to test your knowledge.

The course project

In the following sentences, please state which article is correct. In all cases, the choice is one of:

  • the
  • a
  • an
  • x (for the zero article, or no article)

Here is an example to show you what I mean.

___ blue dress suits you better than ____ green dress.

In both cases, we need the definite article, i.e. 'the', as in:

The blue dress suits you better than the green dress.
