The art of beautiful writing
... CALLIGRAPHY ... the art of beautiful writing ...
Perhaps you have been wanting to learn more about this amazing pastime, but didn't know where to start. Well, you're in the right place!
First, we will find a suitable definition for calligraphy, then we'll talk of the benefits of practising this art. Following that, we will look at the three main types (or categories) of calligraphy, the tools and inks that can be used, appropriate writing surfaces (paper and more!), and so on.
Then, historical styles of calligraphy will be presented. Finally, I'll help you get started with a broad nib.
Please be aware that this course will not actually teach you to write a certain alphabet (I have other courses that do just that). This course is a sort of "overview" that will help you understand what calligraphy's all about before getting started on your own calligraphic adventure.
Every student's nightmare ... the test at the end of the course!
Yep, it's true ... I've prepared a little quiz for you!
Don't worry, it's not hard. It's just a way for you to see what you've remembered, what you found interested, and where you might take your calligraphic journey from here.
Of course, it's entirely optional, and I promise not to publish your marks or to rank you! (LOL)
Just have fun with it !
