Use Procreate To Create Your Own Repeat Patterns
Do you want to create a seamless repeat pattern to upload to print-on-demand websites like Society6, Spoonflower, and Redbubble but you don’t have Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator? This class will guide you through how to create seamless repeat patterns on your iPad using only one app: Procreate. This class will guide you through:
This class is perfect for beginners who wish to learn how to create repeat patterns and do not have access to Photoshop or Illustrator. It is also great for intermediate surface pattern designs who want to create patterns on their iPads and then prepare their work for print-on-demand websites.
At the end of this class, you will have two seamless repeat patterns ready to be uploaded to print-on-demand websites. Imagine having your hand-made design on fabric, phone cases, pillows, notebooks… anything your heart desires!
Your class project is to make two seamless repeat patterns and prepare files ready to be uploaded to print-on-demand sites like Society6, Spoonflower, and Redbubble. The first project will be a simple dot pattern so that you can follow along with each step in order to create a seamless repeat pattern. Your second project will be an insect-themed pattern and will be created using your hand-drawn artwork and colour palette. You will be guided through the final process of saving your artwork at the appropriate resolution so that it is ready to be uploaded to print-on-demand sites.
I can’t wait to see what you design! Don’t forget to upload your work to the class project. Happy designing!
