A course for people who wish to know more about a great English novelist.
This is a course for anyone who may have seen TV or movie adaptations of Dickens' novels but have so far been wary of tackling the actual books. By putting set texts in the context of Dickens' life and times and by a judicious selection of quotations, criticism and guides, I hope to persuade them that nothing beats approaching Dickens as he originally intended - through reading his novels.
