A project for cold process soap
In just over half an hour you can start scenting your soaps with essential oils. This is a terrific class exploring different ways of creating a unique aroma blend for your new soap. This class includes a workbook for download.
I’ll show you a variety of essential oils that are suitable to make soap.
I’ll explain how to choose oils for making soap based on certain criteria.
We do a basic essential oil blending review- if you need more details regarding blending with essential oils you can take the Creative Blending Challenge first if you wish.
I introduce 4 additional concepts of blending essential oils, and introduce you to the concept of personality blending.
I give you a peek into my own process for concept blending. Part of this includes a process I call a “ratio weight test”- which I also explain. Your workbook has examples on outlining this step.
I’ll cover how to use natural colors and textures to reinforce your scent concept for your soaps.
There are also sections on how to use infused herbal oils and butters as part of your scent layering system.
Plus: Keep watching for some bonus tips.
The very last lecture might have a couple of bloopers….
The project for this class is to create a new soap fragrance blend using essential oils by going through the process that I explain during the class.
