Hi, I'm Darren from Watercolour Mentor. If you're looking for a class that will give you confidence and help you improve your drawing and watercolour painting skills, this is it.
Sketching on a regular basis is an important but often overlooked way to learn how to draw and paint. Sketching allows you to experiment and practice in a fun and low pressure environment - all you need are some paints and a sketchbook or some spare paper! In this class you'll learn how to drawn and paint twelve different landscape scenes. By the end of the course, you will understand how to convert any reference photo into a pencil sketch and watercolour painting.
This course is designed to increase your confidence in executing different watercolour techniques and give you ample practice to build strong painting habits that will set you on the right track in watercolour painting.
I'm excited to get started, so join me in this class and let's have some fun sketching!

Demonstration Paintings:
For the class project, referring to my completed paintings or the attached photos below as a reference, use a pencil to lightly sketch in the outline(s) of the landscape you would like to paint.
Using the tips and techniques shown in this class, create your own paintings for one or more of the scenes demonstrated. You can even change the colours to your liking. If you're feeling adventurous, try finding your own reference picture and use the tips and techniques to create your own unique painting.
Upload your creations under projects! If you have any questions, let me know in the discussion/project and I will get back to you.
